An ethereal film that, through small incidents and moments in life, highlights the role of storytelling in a place with a factory that produces paper for newspapers and their stories worldwide.

Alexander Rynéus's practice often builds on a place, but perhaps above all on personal encounters with people and their lives in these places. By primarily using documentary film as a medium and method, he has approached the participants' individual stories while simultaneously examining the place in a larger historical perspective. He creates multifaceted depictions in communities that are in the midst of great changes. The projects are often the result of multi-year processes, as it is also through the time perspective that he inscribes himself in the films, together with the viewers and participants in a broader historiography where there may also be room for existential and local political layers, sometimes with a situationally-based underlying humor. He moves between documentary film, essay film, hybrid film, and fiction film as well as video-based installations. He has a bachelor's and master's degree in fine arts from Konstfack and has studied documentary filmmaking at Biskops Arnö.
Previous films and works have been shown on Netflix, Amazon Prime, SVT, Göteborg's
film festival, Tempo documentary film festival, Cph:Dox, Full Frame Documentary Film
Festival as well as Kalmar Art Museum, ArkDes, Halland Art Museum, etc.
