Anne Hamrin Simonsson, born 1967, is an artist living in Färjestaden on Öland.
She works conceptually with different objects and materials depending on what she wants to explore. With great precision, she selects meaningful objects with multiple layers and contexts. The objects have a charge that can lead to new encounters and stories. Anne Hamrin Simonsson is inspired by finding meeting points where the past and present converge. In her works and installations, she reminds the viewer of the similarities between humans and nature. Recurring themes are birth, life, and death.
