Petter and Bernd

Petter Dahlström Persson is an artist based in Malmö. He is interested in how we as humans encounter the world. He often works specifically with a place and history to capture what he has around him. Dahlström Persson uses the exhibition format to create larger installations with his sculptures, where he explores the relationships between the sculptures and their relationship to us and to reality. Surfaces, textures, and the act of making are prominent in his practice, which often consists of wood and stone sculptures and drawings along with found materials. In his artistry, we find recurring door handles, keys, and various animals that fit together according to their own given logic.

Bernd Krauss is a multi-media artist interested in situational artistic creation in site-specific scenarios. His work often functions as a means to discover an unidentified end, and he makes use of simplistic human actions in public spheres to encourage interaction with the pedestrian world. The artist’s subtle transgressions into the public world often demand either a literal or more psychological self-reflection from passers-by about their place, both publicly and privately, in greater society.
