Finissage for the Art Kiosk: See the visions of the people of Kalmar on how we adapt to a rising sea.

On Saturday, September 9, the door to Konstkiosk in Sylvanderparken will be open for the last time. Throughout the summer, the public has had the opportunity to visit Konstkiosk to discuss how we can adapt to a rising sea and a changing climate, where the questions have been presented through both art and science. Now we have gathered the public's visions and will present them.

The Art Kiosk and the research project Coala will, on the closing day, showcase a selection of artistic expressions and maps that have been exhibited over the summer and will conduct a happening. Furthermore, we will present reflections from the summer's visitors regarding flexible solutions and the values that can be created for people and nature when the sea rises.

− What we have noticed during the summer with the Art Kiosk is that there seems to be a need to create a place for the people of Kalmar and others to discuss how to live and dwell in the climate of the future. Several citizens have also come and asked why we build so close to the water and in risk areas, says Lisa Van Well, project manager.

Welcome this last weekend to take part in art and science and to share your own reflections on climate adaptation. Drinks and snacks will also be provided on site.

Time: Saturday, September 9 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM; the Art Kiosk will conduct a happening at 2:00 PM.
