On Sunday, August 13, the last exhibition day for The Great Quagmire at Smålands Konstarkiv in Vandalorum, Värnamo.
The artist Amanda Cardell presents large-scale spatial installations inspired by Store Mosse national park, it features treacherous fluff and prickly stalks, shimmering depressions and will-o'-the-wisps, as well as a selection of mossy graphic sheets with patina from the darkest Småland art archive.
Thereafter, the exhibition undergoes a metamorphosis and reemerges in a new version as Mossens medvetande at Naturum in Store Mosse national park, Hillerstorp. The exhibition runs from August 15 - September 29, and opens with an artist presentation on August 15 at 2:00 PM at Naturum. As a finale, a performative walk in Östra Rockne will take place on September 29 at 7:00 AM. See the moss awaken with the artist in the guise of a wading bird.
