Welcome to the Swedish premiere of the short film ‘Strandudden’. The film is about the construction of a gated community in Nissafors in Småland and addresses themes such as trust and distrust, belonging and place.
The construction project Strandudden has been ongoing for 20 years, and there are still no houses built in the area. The film therefore also raises the question: What happens when what we dream of does not come to fruition? The short film ‘Strandudden’ is made by Sara Guldmyr (b.1990, Anderstorp). Guldmyr is educated at the Academy of Fine Arts in Trondheim and the Academy of Fine Arts in Oslo. She began filming at Strandudden in 2019 and the film premiered in Oslo at Kunstnernes Hus in June 2024. For more info, see: https://saraguldmyr.com/
After the screening, Kolbjörn Guwallius will initiate a discussion with the filmmaker, and finally, the audience is invited to participate in the conversation.
