1200 million years - a concert and audiovisual experience

To move our thoughts back 1.2 billion years in time does something to us. In this dizzying timespan, Julia Sandwall, Jan Carleklev, and Yohanna Eek Björnulfson take their starting point.

The audience is invited into a sound world where synthesizers coexist with shovels, soot, and sweat. From an elegant rumble, veils of strings and soulful singing rise like flames against the sky. With the help of Folktro, the Industrial Museum in Taberg, and the Norrahammar People's Movement Archive, Julia, Jan, and Yohanna have delved into history to musically and visually attempt to depict something that still feels alive and vibrant. The mining vein is also part of the journey, in its various forms. Elusive. Supportive. Hindering. A force as massive as the mountain itself.

The event takes place at Taberg Valley's cultural center on August 31 at 14:00. Before that, there will be a vernissage starting at 11:00, more info at www.tdkultur.se
