In June 2024, the triennial announced an Open Call aimed at artists active in Småland, focusing on site-specific and public projects, exhibitions, and residencies. Particularly interesting were projects that were outward-facing and targeted the local community.
From June to September, 620 people visited and participated in the artists' public program.
Among the projects carried out over the summer were The Cradle of Fire production residency for Rami Khoury at The Mirror Institution, The Path by Magnus Wassborg, an in-depth text and image production for the book project Nature Conservation Area Marhult by Timo Menke. Other projects included Deviations & A Tentative Pursuit of the Identical by Anne Hamrin Simonsson and Johanna Karlin, film screening of Strandudden with Sara Guldmyr, as well as a concert and audiovisual experience called 1.2 billion years by Julia Sandwall, Jan Carleklev, and Yohanna Eek.
Several art events continued through late summer and autumn, including Sketch Walks on Animal Trails by Helena Wikestam and Sofia Sundberg, with activities at the end of September, and Be a Farmer for a Day by Zeenath Hasan. Vernissage for In the Light of the Stone Crusher by Anna-Linda Gabriel and release of the publication The Life Cycle of the Use Forest by Martha Kristensen.
