To artists working in Småland
Konstfrämjandet Småland now welcomes applications for funding for pre-production – exploratory, investigative, and experimental artistic work – to develop site-specific and public art projects, works, exhibitions, or similar artistic projects. The intention is that the project will then be completed and realized during the Smålandstriennale 2026. We encourage projects that engage the local community, have an outward-looking and knowledge-disseminating focus, and include local collaboration or a public program. The maximum amount that can be applied for per project is 50,000 SEK (including VAT).
The project must be carried out between May and September 2025.
Purpose of the Open Call 2025:We want to support artists in art, craft, and design projects that explore the theme for the next Smålandstriennale: “ANXIETY – Art, Preparedness, and Resistance.” By prioritizing projects with local collaboration and a public focus, we hope to contribute to a richer cultural life in our three regions.
