Moa Franzén (b. 1985) is an artist, writer, and choreographer. Her artistic practice is based on choreography and writing as interconnected practices, with a particular interest in voice as performative material and expression. Both in performance and text works, Franzén engages in practicing and destabilizing trust and resistance. Language, whether physical, written, or vocalized, constitutes the center from which her works most often emanate. Franzén holds an MFA in New Performative Practices from Stockholm University of the Arts. In recent years, she has collaborated in both long-term and shorter partnerships with other artists, including Tove Salmgren, Kajsa Wadhia, and Cara Tolmie.
