On August 26, there will be a workshop with the artist Moa Franzén, who is also part of the exhibition Fingrarna mot himlen och munnen i jorden, at Kleva gruva. A site historically coded as male, where only the mountain lady has had access, is now a place for this workshop where we will explore our voices together.
During the workshop, artist Moa Franzén will lead an experimental exploration of voice and how it can sound outside the settings we are used to. We will playfully move vocally through the radical power of sounding together. By starting from the body, we will find and express sounds that stretch the limits of what we perceive as human, animal, or gender-normative. The workshop does not focus on singing or trained voice and makes no demands on vocal capacity. The vocal material we will be trying out is based on a collaboration that Franzén is part of with choreographers Tove Salmgren and Kajsa Wadhia.
