Secrets and Dangers - Conversation about the Kojan Project

A place of one’s own, free from adult gaze, inviting play, imagination, and personal creativity. In the "Kojan" project, groups of children from Österängen and Huskvarna have collaborated with four artists and artist groups to create playgrounds that encourage spontaneous play.
Welcome to a seminar on how co-creative and participatory methods can create permissive spaces for children. The artistic process, where artists have worked together with children from preschools, after-school programs, and youth centers in Österängen and Huskvarna, has taken place throughout the spring. Four constructed playhouses are now completed, three in Österängen and the fourth in Huskvarna People's Park.

KOJAN is run by Österängen Art Hall & Konstfrämjandet and is funded by the Cultural Council. The project collaborates with Huskvarna People's Park, Biosphere Area Eastern Vätterbranterna, HallonEtt, and after-school programs and preschools in Jönköping Municipality. KOJAN is part of the Småland Triennial.
